MSc in Management (General)

Eligible candidates should hold:
• A Bachelor’s degree
• IELTS (Academic) 6.5 or TOEFL internet based 87 or above or any other recognized certificate proving advanced knowledge of English (Level C2 / “proficiency”) or any equivalent qualification

Today's dynamic environment demands that organizations and their managers adapt and renew themselves continually to succeed over time. Success in this highly competitive business environment requires sound strategic, managerial and entrepreneurial skills. The programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to identify and pursue opportunities either within an organisation or independently by starting a new venture that offers an innovative product or service. Irrespective of the organisational setting, sound managerial skills and knowledge in key functional areas are equally critical for the success of any new project or venture activity. The programme is addressed but not limited to students who recently acquired their bachelor's degree and would like to upgrade and extend their business studies before becoming entrepreneurs or managers, and to those already working in the profession who wish to improve their management qualifications.

Graduates of the MSc in Management (General) programme may pursue careers in: Business planning and consulting, business executives, operations management, project management, production management, government and more.

The title Master of Science in Management (General) is awarded directly by the University of York.
