Greek students • One letter of recommendation from teacher/professor of last institution attended; letter from private tutor is not accepted. • Official high school transcript(s) and diploma or official college/university transcript(s) and catalog (if applying for transfer credits). • Acceptable evidence of proficiency in English: IELTS (score 6.5 or higher), Pearson Test of Academic English: PTE Academic (59 or above), Michigan State University Certificate of English Language Proficiency (MSU – CELP), Michigan Proficiency Certificate, Cambridge Proficiency Certificate, Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) with Grade A only, TOEFL (score 87 or higher on internet based), GCE, International Baccalaureate, Graduates of accredited English language institutions. If none of the above can be provided, then the candidate will have to take the English Placement Test administered by the College. • Certified copy of state identification card candidates will attend an interview with a designated College representative after all application materials have been submitted.
American Students First Year Students Students who are currently in high school, students who have not attended college after high school graduation, or students with less than 12 college credit hours are considered First Year Students. The following documents are needed for admissions: • Completed online application form. • A 250-300 word personal statement which addresses how studying at ACG will further your life goals. The essay can be completed online along with the application form. • Official transcripts. • One academic letter of recommendation. • Copy of passport.
Transfer Students Students are considered Transfer Students if they have 12 or more credits from an accredited college. The following documents are needed for admissions: • Completed online application form. • A 250-300 word personal statement which addresses how studying at ACG will further your life goals. The essay can be completed online along with the application form. • Official College transcripts from all institutions attended. • One academic letter of recommendation. • Copy of picture page in passport.

Introduction to the Major in International Business The IBEA program was launched in 2004 and is the first program of its kind in Greece; it introduced modules related to the study of business in the European Union combined with a strategic approach to studying multinational corporations. IBEA students develop critical insights into the world of international and European business and the strategies available to firms conducting business internationally. The program equips students with appropriate skills and knowledge to succeed in a competitive and challenging global environment. Graduates of the program are much sought after by multinational, regional, and high-profile Greek companies. The IBEA program attracts students from different countries, who enrich the cultural and academic distinctiveness of the department through their diverse ethnic and social backgrounds and experiences.
What You Will Study Students in the IBEA major complete 44 credits of General Education courses, 48 credits from the Business Core, which includes courses in general business management, 30 credits from the IBEA concentration and 6 credits of general electives. The IBEA concentration includes courses in the program’s two areas of study: International Business and European Affairs. Examples are International Business, Business in the European Union, Contemporary Issues in International Business, EU Economic and Funding Policies, International Management and International Business Law. Students may select additional courses as electives including Foreign EU Policies and IB Practices, Direct Investment and Multinational Enterprises and International Human Resource Management.

Career/Graduate Opportunities Students holding a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Administration (International Business & European Affairs) are equipped with the managerial skills of conducting business across national borders. As a result, they have a wide range of career options, since an increasing number of companies have expanded their operations in global (and particularly European) markets. Graduates of the International Business and European Affairs program can pursue careers in multinational or local business corporations (in strategy, management, marketing, purchasing or production job placements), government bodies, NGOs, international organizations and regional institutions. Employers often include management consulting firms, banks, import/export corporations, multinational manufacturers, international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), electronics companies and transportation businesses, including shipping companies and airlines.
